Kaprun reservoirs

The Kaprun high mountain reservoirs, including the two reservoirs "Wasserfallboden" and "Mooserboden", at about 2,040 metres above sea level, are one of the most impressive constructions of the post-war period. The two lakes lie in the upper Kaprun valley like two fjords. Nestled between the three-thousand-metre summits of the Alps, on the edge of the Hohe Tauern National Park. A legend was once created here in the post-war years which can still be traced today. Whether in the Electricity Adventure World, which presents the history and challenges of the structure as well as the variety of the Hohe Tauern National Park in two languages. Or the overpowering technical achievement that was realised here amidst the Alps.
